Aloe Vera Gel

My face is so dry it's flaking! Too long in the air-con. Went to buy aloe vera gel to soothe my face. So end up buying two different ones:

Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Gelly

I bought this from gnc and it says there organic although i duno how organic it really is but the ingredients look fine to me.

Description

Lily of the Desert’s 99% Aloe Vera Gelly is free from artificial colour and fragrance, and provides relief from sunburns, minor cuts, burns, insect bites, cold sores, rashes, and other skin irritations. It can also be used as a soothing moisturizer for sensitive skin.
Certified Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Ultrasil Copolyol, Carbomer, DMDM Hydantoin, Disodium EDTA, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Sodium Hydroxide .

This aloe vera gel feels good to me. When i smooth over my face, it kinda feels like egg white. It's not very expensive that's what i like about it. It is about 12 sgd or less? sorry can't remember. I have oily skin and it feels good on my face but i don't think you should put it on your nose? it gives me one or two tiny bumps on the nose. My sis used it and it works very good on her. She has dry sensitive skin unlike me :(
my face is oily and sensitive. It has no smell, no color. The no smell part is what i really like about it. I really love the feeling when you washed it off, it feels reali smooth.

and i bought the other one from watson

Jorubi Aloe Vera Gel

This is more expensive than lily of the desert. But i don't like this. If your skin is really dry, maybe you would like this. This provides more moisture than lily of the desert. No smell too. But not for me. I feel it's too sticky for my skin. I end up putting them on my leg and burns instead haha! I have cystic acne on my chin and so far i put these(Both), has not aggravate my acne. I wouldn't recommend this to use as a moisturise, but more for soothing.

BRTC bb cream

Hmm… So what’s on my mind? Due to the Korean craze of BB cream that had spread to Singapore, Sooo many brands of bb creams are introduced!
Hot favourites like: Dr. G, BRTC, Dr. Jart Silver, Skin Food, The Face Shop, Ettude House, Skin79, L’egere and More! After hearing all the comments and such, i've decide to buy THIS!

BRTC Protect Multiplex Balm SPF 20 PA++ BB Cream

Okay this is it! im so excited and i can't wait to try it. When i got home, i just smooth it over my hand my face and yeah. It kinda sucks when i can't try it out in guardian :/ They only have the package

It has so much ingredients and seriously I kinda regret buying it. And it's so expensive!!!
Here's the verdict:

Pros:
  • It has good coverage, really cover up my scars
  • I really like the matte finish
  • Packaging is okay
  • I tink the oil controlling is okay, need to blot my face twice in about 8 hours
Cons:
  • I tried it for the day and yeah, it broke me out!!!
  • THE SMELL!! ok, i really really hate the smell i can't stand it. whenever the air-con or wind blows at you, you can smell the bb cream. It smells like medicated oil. omg.
  • It is very thick and is really really hard to spread. Instead of spreading i ended patting all the bb cream into my face instead. Took me a LONG time. I tried putting on moisturizer first but it doesn't really help either. After i put it on, i feel it's really heavy, can feel something on my face
  • Spf 20+ too low
  • Has pink undertone, makes you look really fake because my skin color is yellow and fair.
  • Expensive

I really regret buying this. I definitely don't recommend this for acne prone, oily or sensitive skin. The ingredients contain mineral oil and it will break you out. Check this out:

This is definitely not worth buying. :(
